The Accredited Vocational Training Center (STV) has complained to the Secretariat of State for Vocational Training Policy and Employment (SEPFOPE) about missing out on funding.

Member of Parliament (MP) Benvinda Catarina Rodrigues said that the complaint was made by the director of STV.
She called on SEPFOPE to justify their decision not to fund the training center.
MP Rodrigues said Parliament had approved the budget for accredited training centers and that STV should receive the money.
“Why has the money not reached STV’s hands yet?” she asked.
State Secretary for Vocational Training Policy and Employment Ilidio Ximenes da Costa, said a mistake had been made the previous year that saw some training centers receive double their allocated funding.
“They submitted a funding proposal to SEPFOPE and at the same time received funding from another source as well,” he said.
He said SEPFOPE had completed its verification process and money would flow more easily in future.
The Tibar training center received $250,000, while the Comoro Center received $72,000. Bairo-Pite was allocated $203,000, Camea $24,000 and Manatutu $20,000.
