The Government, in particular the Secretariat of State for Electricity is being called to account for the abandonment of electricity posts in Lohomato sub-village, in Com Suku, in Lautem Municipality.

Member Commission E (for infra-structure, transport and telecommunications) Member of Parliament MP Albina Marçal said the electricity posts have been lying in Lohomato since 2013 and have not been set up until now.
“Some of the posts are rusty now,” said MP Marçal at the National Parliament, in Dili.
The MP added the government should have awarded by now the contract to a company to install the electivity posts.
“But this has not been done until now,” the MP said.
The MP urged the relevant government institution to look into the issue because the community Lohomato needs electricity.
In response to the issue, the Secretary of State for Electricity Januario Pereira acknowledged that many areas still do not have access to the electricity grid including the sub-village of Lohomato.
“Lohomato is on top of a mountain but we are working on it,” said SE Pereira.
