Just six classrooms accommodate 920 students at Rumbia Primary School in Kaikoli.

Rumbia principal Abilio Pereira da Conceicao said there was no money to build extra classrooms to hold the students.
More than 60 students were jammed into each classroom every session, he said.
Rumbia teacher Teresa Tilman said the crowded conditions took a toll on students.
“The students are unable to do the lessons we provide them,” she said.
Tilman said the education process would continue despite the poor conditions.
She called on the Education Ministry to take action and cut class sizes to a maximum of 30 students.
Commission F (education, health, culture, veterans’ affairs and gender equality) president Virgilio da Costa Hornai said the problem was not unique to Rumbia but was present in almost every school across the country.
Money had been allocated in the 2014 budget to purchase more desks and chairs for schools, he said.
Hornai said the school upgrade program would continue into next year.
