Members of Parliament have lamented the condition of the Fatuberlico sub-district road, which is full of pot holes.
Deputy Manuel Salsinha said the road from Liquintai-Maubise to Fatuberlico was in very poor condition.
He told the plenary the pot holed road threatened lives.
Public Works minister Gastao de Sousa said the government planned to repair all pot holes and roads in very poor condition, including the Fatuberlico road.
He said motorcyclists should exercise caution on the Fatuberlico road, and passengers should get off to pass pot holes.
“The road is totally damaged and needs to be repaired”, he said.
Sousa said the repairs on the road from Dili to Ainaro would begin soon with borrowed money.
Resident Paulo Fernandes said the road was very dangerous for motorcyclists.
“When it is raining and the potholes are filled with water, it threatens people’s lives”, he said.
