he murder of a man known as “JP”, killed March 1 in front of the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEK) building, is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Service. 
SIK director Superintendent Calisto Gonzaga said this case had been listed and investigation had begun.
“The investigation is running now,” Director Gonzaga said, in Kaikoli, Dili.
JP was suffered a fatal stab wound to the belly.
The victim had been out drinking with friends at his house when at about 3am he left to take a friend home.
He never returned and was found dead in front of the MNEK building.
The 20-year-old victim was a Vocational Technical School (STM) student and sold cassettes.
Member of Commission B (for security, defense and foreign affairs) MP Cesar Valente said he considered this a serious case and said SIK should investigate thoroughly.
“The victim died at a young age and his death was really tragic. The police should find out who did it so that person can be put on trial in keeping with the law,” MP Valente said.
Resident Luis Pinto demanded SIK find the perpetrator.
“It is a serious crime to kill someone. If this case is not solved it might allow other crimes to happen,”he said.
