The President of Court of Appeals Gilhermino da Silva said the court provided training for justice officials on statistical data collection and for judges on leadership skills.

“We set up two distinct programs that we delivered alternatively in statistical data collection and the other on leadership skills,” said da Silva, in Dili.
He added the need presented itself because justice officials are not collecting adequately statistical data on cases the court hears in the municipal courts of Oe-Cusse, Baucau, Suai and Dili.
Member of Parliament MP Francisco Costa said justice officials needed the training because they need to be able to collect adequately court cases data.
“They need to know how to register the cases,” said MP Costa.
