The Ministry of State Administration will fine companies which are found not to adhere to the rubbish disposal timetable determined by the government.

State Administration minister Jorge da Conceição Teme said his ministry was working to draft a ministerial directive to allow fines to be issued to offending companies.
Teme said the fines could be issued to any offending company, regardless of whether their indiscretions were intentional.
He said the ministry would adopt a zero tolerance policy to illegal dumping.
Fines will be issued from next year.
Dili district administrator Gaspar Soares said the directive was an important part of regulating activities within the city, including the newly opened Becusse cemetery.
