Member of National Parliament Paulino Monteiro has suggested the government provide homes for teachers who live far from their schools.
The Democratic Party member said distance caused problems for teachers who must travel to school every morning.
He asked for the Ministry of Education’s attention in the matter.
Education Minister Bendito Freitas agreed it was “vital” that teachers who were dedicated to their profession received strong support from the government.
Minister Freitas said teachers required strong support to provide quality education.
